Willard Suitcases

The photographer, John Crispin has been documenting vintage suitcases
and their contents which were brought to a psychiatric hospital in
Willard, NY between 1910 and 1960's. The suitcases were stored and
forgotten about until found in 1995. Shown here are the ones containing textiles
and sewing supplies, others have more varied contents.

I love this image of a man showing an owl to a boy and a girl.
It captures that magical  moment when something wild is examined
and appreciated. It also reminds me how I learned to love animals

Miniwilderness
